In our rapidly changing and stressful world, its easier now more than ever to lose touch with ourselves and live outside the present moment. Data shows that mental health conditions are increasing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and students are especially affected.
So what's included in the challenge?
Weekly Schedule for the Health at Home Virtual Challenge:
Mental Health Mondays - the focus will be on activities like meditation, time management, or exercise for mental health
Toning Tuesdays - the focus will be on strengthening the body using bodyweight activities or those that can be done with simple hand held weights/soup cans or other household items
Wallet Wednesdays - the focus will be on nutrition on a budget
Thirsty Thursdays - the focus will be on proper hydration tips, facts, and more
Fun Fridays - the focus will be about trying an activity that will break you out of your exercise habits and have you trying something new and fun!
Stretching Saturdays - the focus will be on a different type of stretching technique each week and by the end of the challenge you will have lots of methods to choose from
Sunshine Sundays - the focus will be on getting outside to enjoy nature, soak up some sunshine (aka vitamin D - which is great at boosting our immune systems), and getting in some activity
